Doggy Documentary Portraits

Some of you may not know, but my dog was poisoned back in November. I only noticed when red and black patches started showing up on her skin 2 days after we had gone on a long walk at the park. She was running around and rolling in the mud, it had just rained, having a great time, so I didn’t think anything off it the first day when after her bath I noticed a couple pink spots on her belly.

The second day they were larger and the night of the second day I noticed that under her fur, her skin on her legs was almost black. This set of an alarm and we hustled straight to the vet who noticed Bree’s gums were bleeding and immediately put her on vitamin K ( like a cure for poisoning, she said) .

Jump ahead a week and her coagulation was getting better but not quite up to speed. Continue the cure for another 20 days, and another test. Better, but we are still not were she should be, which means we need to continue for another 10 days and test again. The vet said another case with the same symptoms and signs came to her shortly after we did.

I thought it would be kind of therapeutic for us both to go on a walk and take a few photos. So, that’s what we did. <3
