Valle d'aosta

We did a day trip to Valle d’aosta , about an hour drive from Turin and well into the mountains ! It was an amazing day for it too as we were fortunate enough to catch these big fluffy clouds and none of the rain! Haha

We took the lift up the mountain side (25 minutes) and then walked up further to the mountain peak. The air was so clean and fresh there was a light breeze, it was beautiful. Bree really enjoyed running up and down the mountain side.

The last ride back to the city was at 6pm so we booked it down the mountain and caught the last car back. Almost missing our chance. Which begged the question: what would one do if trapped on the top of the mountain for the night ? haha

City of Aosta. We will definitely be going back and maybe to stay for a few days because Aosta is a total touristy city. With hundreds of little shops and the lift right in the middle of the city, its the best of both worlds. You could easily get a place in town and have access to the mountains and the city all through public transit! No need to bring a car either because the train stops right downtown.

(Despite the Covid19 there were a lot of tourists, so it would be better to travel out of season if you are like me and enjoy not a lot of people circulating.)
