Torino in the Snow.

January’s Blizzard

The other night Torino was hit by a freak snow storm. Since I arrived it has snowed in the city maybe ten times. That’s over a period of seven years. So needless to say, I was excited to get out of the house and get some photos of the phenomenon!

I packed my bag, grabbed the dog and headed out into the early morning chill. I wanted to catch the snow before it melted in the afternoon sun. I thought what better place to capture the event than down by the river Po, near Parco Valentino, it has some of the best views of the city.

I walked by one of the university buildings and spotted a muskrat looking for food under the snow. I passed by the stables and was lucky to get a shot of a shy horse, who immediately went back inside. Then I took Bree out to the hills on the other side of the river to let her blow off some steam, running up and down the trails, chasing snowballs.

Enjoy!
